Meet the Snowman Stroll artists - Kat Tipton

Artist Biography:

Kat Tipton’s family moved to Rock Springs in 1969. She attended School here and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1976. She moved away to college, and the wonderful magnet that Rock Springs has drew her back. She has always thought of Rock Springs as being her home.

Growing up, art has always been a part of Kat’s life. She has done a few charcoal drawings and painted on saw blades, old hand saws and canvases. She has painted some business signs around Wyoming.  She also does hand etching on drinking glasses, mirrors, plates, auto glass, metals, and wood. All of her paintings and etching are known as Kat’s Scratchings. She enjoys all crafts and painting the snowman was one of her favorite pleasures.

Kat also owns and operates Tip’s Kitchen, LLC food trailer. They recently received the honor of being named the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce Rock Star Small Business award for 2023.
